ITACOSM is an Italian scientific conference on development, testing, and application of survey sampling methodologies in the fields of economics, of social and demographic sciences, of official statistics and in the studies on biological and environmental phenomena.
The Conference is organized by the Permanent Working Group of the Italian Statistical Society on "Sample Survey Methodology".
The Conference programme will include several papers developped under the Research of National Interest Programme (PRIN):
PRIN 2007RHFBB3: "Efficient Use of Auxiliary Information at the Design and at the Estimation Stage of Complex Surveys: Methodological Aspects and Applications for Producing Official Statistics";PRIN 2008CEFF37: "New Developments in Sampling Theory and Practice".
ITACOSM first edition took place in Siena in 2009 (http://www.unisi.it/eventi/dmq2009/presentation.htm).
